Rincon Annex Post Office Tour

(1 mural, 27 panels)

This former post office features a series of striking and provocative images that trace California’s history often through an unflinching “leftist” lens. Instead of showing a procession of glorified “triumphs,” the mural shows a series of conflicts, exploited workers, mob violence and labor strikes. In the 1950’s, critics attacked the mural for being subversive and anti-American, which resulted in a Congressional hearing.
